Information we collect, purposes, and recipients
Personal information includes information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person or household. Browser identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and identifiable activity records can be personal information even when they do not include your name.
We obtain information directly from you; automatically from your device and interactions with our store; from Shopify and providers involved in payments, delivery, support, and fraud prevention; and from analytics, advertising, and referral partners.
The table below describes categories involved in our store operations during the preceding 12 months and our current operations. Particular information and recipients depend on your interactions, the features involved, and applicable privacy choices.
| Category and examples | Purposes | Recipients for business operations | Advertising sale/sharing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers and customer records: name, email, telephone, billing/shipping address, account identifiers, IP address, cookie/device identifiers, referral and campaign identifiers | Accounts, orders, delivery, support, security, analytics, referral attribution, and advertising measurement | Commerce, payment, fulfillment, support, hosting, IT, analytics, and referral providers | Yes, for relevant online identifiers and contact matching information disclosed to advertising platforms |
| Commercial information: products viewed, cart contents, purchases, order identifiers, amounts, currency, returns, and warranty history | Commerce, customer service, accounting, warranty administration, analytics, personalization, and conversion measurement | Commerce, payment, fulfillment, warranty, support, hosting, and analytics providers | Yes, for product interactions and conversion information disclosed to advertising platforms |
| Internet or electronic network activity: pages visited, event times, clicks and interactions, browser details, referrers, and campaign parameters | Store functionality, security, performance measurement, personalization, referral attribution, and advertising | Commerce, hosting, IT, analytics, and referral providers | Yes, for relevant events and attribution identifiers disclosed to advertising and referral partners |
| Approximate location: country, region, or city inferred from IP or address | Delivery, regional privacy controls, security, and measurement | Commerce, fulfillment, security, hosting, and analytics providers | Yes, where IP-derived location accompanies advertising events |
| Payment and account-access information: payment method, transaction confirmation, authentication and account information handled through commerce/payment services | Payments, authentication, fraud prevention, account administration, and transaction records | Shopify, payment, authentication, security, and relevant commerce providers | Transaction and contact information are covered above; full card credentials and account passwords are not inputs to our own advertising analytics |
| Communications and submitted content: support inquiries, warranty correspondence, reviews, and form submissions | Responding to you, providing support, addressing disputes, and displaying content you submit for publication | Commerce, support, warranty, review, hosting, and IT providers; the public for content submitted for publication | Contact identifiers are covered above. Private support-message content is used for service and related business purposes, rather than advertising audience matching |
| Commercial-interest inferences: product interests suggested by browsing, purchases, and advertising interactions | Product recommendations, personalization, and advertising relevance | Commerce, personalization, and analytics providers | Yes, where interests are associated with activity disclosed to advertising partners |
Business purposes also include maintaining the store, investigating fraud, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and establishing or defending legal claims. We may disclose information at your direction, to comply with valid legal process, or in a business transaction such as a merger or sale, subject to applicable protections.
Provider categories above include Shopify for commerce; payment and fulfillment services; messaging and review services such as Klaviyo and Yotpo; our own analytics infrastructure; and analytics or advertising integrations involving Google, Meta, OpenAI, and referral partners. Yandex.Metrica was previously integrated and was disabled in our theme on October 8, 2026. A provider's contractual role and permitted purposes determine whether a disclosure is to a service provider/contractor or to an independent third party.
Sensitive information
We do not request medical or health information, biometric identifiers, precise GPS location, or government identity-document information for our store services. Please do not volunteer this information in messages or forms. Shopify and payment/account providers may handle credentials or financial information that qualify as sensitive information to authenticate you, process payments, prevent fraud, and provide the services you request. Our own analytics does not require your full payment-card number or account password.
We use service-related credentials and payment information for those operational purposes, rather than to infer sensitive characteristics or create advertising audiences. If applicable law gives you a right to limit a use of sensitive information, you may submit a request using the contact methods above.
Cookies, our analytics, and advertising
We and providers use cookies, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies. Necessary technologies support carts, checkout, security, and privacy choices. Other technologies measure usage and campaigns, attribute referrals, personalize content, or support advertising. Advertising partners may associate activity on our store with activity on other websites or services.
Our own analytics processes events such as page views, product interactions, cart additions, and conversions. Depending on permissions and the event, records can contain a visitor identifier, time, page/referrer, browser information, product/order details, and campaign or click identifiers. Our analytics infrastructure also processes order information received from Shopify and can transmit conversion information through server-side integrations with Meta and Google. Hashing contact information for matching does not make it anonymous.
Our theme uses Shopify's Customer Privacy permissions for its optional browser analytics, advertising measurement, and direct referral tracking. In regions configured to require consent, the relevant optional browser tracking waits for permission. Cookie preferences, advertising opt-outs, and deletion requests serve different purposes. Declining optional cookies does not automatically delete existing records or stop processing necessary to fulfill an order.
Advertising disclosures described here can constitute a "sale", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" under applicable state law, including where information is exchanged for a service rather than money. We therefore provide a way to request an opt-out instead of treating the absence of a monetary payment as an exemption.
Privacy choices and opt-outs
- Do Not Sell or Share / targeted advertising: use the controls at Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, email deafbonce.help@gmail.com, or call 1-888-407-4037. A request concerns relevant advertising disclosures, including browser-based and server-side disclosures, rather than just the placement of cookies. An account is not required.
- Global Privacy Control: a supported browser or extension can communicate an opt-out preference using Global Privacy Control (GPC). Shopify detects this signal in configured opt-out regions. Where applicable, a recognized signal represents a sale/sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out for that browser/device and associated customer information where the association is known and the law requires it. You can also contact us to apply a request to identified records. Additional identifiers are not required merely to apply a browser-level signal.
- Cookie preferences: use the Shopify cookie banner and its preference controls when available. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies, which can affect store functionality. A cookie refusal and a sale/sharing opt-out are distinct choices.
- Other browser signals: we do not respond to legacy Do Not Track signals as an advertising opt-out. This does not affect GPC or other legally recognized opt-out requests.
- Marketing messages: use the unsubscribe link in promotional emails. Service messages about orders, payments, or support can continue. If you have separately enrolled in promotional text messages, follow that program's unsubscribe instructions or contact us.
Privacy preferences may need to be set again on another browser or device, or after clearing cookies, unless a preference is associated with your account. An opt-out is not an instruction to delete information needed for fulfillment, accounting, security, or another legally permitted purpose.
United States privacy rights and requests
Depending on your state, the applicable law, and its coverage of our business, you may have rights to confirm processing; access information; obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; delete information; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling used for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects; limit specified uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. Some laws provide information about third-party recipients or categories of recipients. California residents have CCPA rights to know about collection, sources, purposes, and disclosures, as well as applicable deletion, correction, opt-out, and sensitive-information rights.
Submit a request by email, toll-free telephone, or mail using the contact details above. Specify the request and provide only information needed to locate the relevant records. These channels also accept applicable Nevada sale opt-out requests. You do not have to purchase anything or create an account to submit a request.
For access, correction, deletion, or portability, we may need to verify identity using information reasonably related to an existing account or order. If verification is not possible, we explain the issue. Sale/sharing opt-outs do not require a verifiable consumer request; only information necessary to apply the choice may be needed. Authorized agents may act on your behalf with the permission and verification appropriate to the request and applicable law.
We handle requests within applicable legal deadlines and explain any permitted extension, exception, or denial. Exceptions can apply to records needed for transactions, legal obligations, security, or legal claims. We do not retaliate or unlawfully discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
Appeals: if we decline a request, you may appeal through the same email, telephone, or postal channels. Include enough information to identify the original request and explain your concern; an email subject of "Privacy Appeal" is helpful but not required. We provide the outcome and reasons within the applicable appeal deadline. If an appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general or applicable privacy regulator; we provide the relevant complaint method where required.
Retention
Retention depends on the record, its purpose, applicable law, and valid privacy requests. Our periods and criteria are:
- Orders and transaction history in Shopify: there is currently no scheduled automatic deletion date; these records are kept as an ongoing transaction history. Relevant purposes include order service, returns, warranty support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and disputes. This does not override applicable deletion rights or permit retention beyond what is reasonably necessary and proportionate for a valid purpose. Shopify hosting itself is not a legal requirement to keep every record forever.
- Our own analytics: event-level analytics records are retained for 90 days. This period applies to records in our own analytics system, not every record held by Shopify or an independent advertising provider.
- Accounts and customer profiles outside order records: for the duration of the customer relationship and as needed to provide account services, respond to requests, and meet applicable legal or security requirements.
- Support, warranty, and dispute records: while needed to resolve the matter and maintain the relevant service/warranty history, and for any applicable legal claim or recordkeeping period.
- Marketing preferences and subscription records: while used for the subscription or relevant relationship. Minimal suppression records may be retained to avoid sending messages after an unsubscribe.
- Approximate location and interest inferences: the retention period or criteria for the underlying order, analytics event, account, or advertising record in which the information is maintained.
- Credentials and payment information: for the period needed by the commerce, authentication, or payment service for the transaction, account, security, and applicable legal obligations. Information held by an independent provider is also governed by that provider's practices.
- Security and privacy-request records: as needed to investigate and address incidents, document requests and responses, maintain suppression choices, and comply with applicable recordkeeping obligations.
The theme sets its visitor and campaign cookies for up to 90 days and its direct referral cookie for up to 30 days unless removed earlier; a later write can renew expiry. A cookie's expiry does not determine server retention. For providers processing information on our behalf, retention must reflect the relevant purpose and our instructions; independently acting providers apply their own practices and applicable obligations. Backup copies and legal holds can follow separate restricted retention cycles.
Shopify, other services, and international processing
Shopify processes information to provide its commerce services and, where enabled, enhanced services that can involve activity across merchants. Shopify's own responsibilities and choices are described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. Requests concerning our own records can be directed to us.
Links to independent services are governed by their own notices. Reviews and other content submitted for publication can be visible to the public. Shopify and other providers may process information outside your state or country. Where international transfer safeguards are legally required, the applicable safeguards depend on the recipient, contract, and transfer. Contact us for information about a relevant transfer or privacy concern.
Children and security
Our store is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information in violation of applicable law. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of children under 16. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided information, contact us so that we can investigate and address it, including deletion where required.
We use safeguards intended to protect personal information. No system provides absolute security. This statement does not limit rights or obligations under applicable law.
Policy changes
We update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes receive additional notice or consent where required. Posting a policy is not permission for an incompatible use of information, and using our website does not by itself waive your privacy rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — introduction
DeepSound Car Audio operates the Deaf Bonce store. We disclose some online identifiers, contact matching data, product interactions, and conversion information to advertising partners. These disclosures can constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws even without payment for the information.
You can request an opt-out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising. Use the controls on this page. You can also email deafbonce.help@gmail.com or call 1-888-407-4037. You do not need an account to request an opt-out. We ask only for information needed to apply your request; browser-level choices do not require identity verification.
A supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal communicates a browser/device opt-out in applicable regions. Where your identity is known and the law requires it, the request also covers associated customer information. Contact us if you need help applying a request to identified records.
The request concerns relevant browser and server-side advertising disclosures. It does not prevent permitted processing needed to complete orders, payments, shipping, warranty service, accounting, or security. Declining optional cookies and opting out of sale/sharing are distinct choices; neither automatically deletes existing records.
